Forest Bathing

Enjoyed the warm up in weather this morning with walk in the woods. Forest bathing, known as shinin yoku in Japan has been linked to stress reduction, improved mood, increased vitality, enhanced immune system and reduced blood pressure.

I think spending time in nature is relaxing and soul soothing. The forest has it’s own sights, smells and sounds just like places such as the beach. It feels nice to escape the hustle and bustle, to be in a quiet space where one can actually hear the birds chirp.

Don’t know about others but I like quiet, never understood need to play music at the beach or in park when nature has such beautiful sounds of its own. Some days it feels good to be tuned into nature and the surroundings, not distracted by outside noises. Our bodies need moments where they can simply relax.

Go sit quietly in the woods, see how you feel and experience the healing power and magic of nature.
